It’s got a strong, sunny background of piano and bass at the start, and the song builds smartly to its chorus: “You’re breaking through the darkness, I’m like a child,” she sings — “Standing in amazement here in the night … you shine brighter than fireflies.” The whole song is joyful and catchy as the best songwriters’ music in the genre, and it’s sure to attract people to the album. If the rest of the music on Not Myself Anymore is as ear-catching as this, she’s going to build a fan-base quickly.
